Shakespeare Theatre Company, a training ground for the next generation of theatre artists, advocates, and educators, seeks Teaching Artists to join a passionate team of change-makers and community-builders for its 24/25 Season.

STC's Learning programs impact students at every grade level as well as adults, so we welcome candidates with a wide range of teaching experiences. Learning programs include our school programs, where we offer three tiers of engagement: student matinees, performance-based workshops, and ten-session residencies. We also have Camp Shakespeare and classes for youth and teens, as well as classes for adults and professional development workshops. More information about our programs can be found at

Teaching Artists are paid $80.00 per hour for school and training programs, and $27.00 per hour to co-teach camp sessions. Joining STC’s Teaching Artist roster does not guarantee any fixed number of hours.Ideal candidates enjoy working with young people; are reliable, enthusiastic team players familiar with the works of Shakespeare; have experience creating safe, inclusive, and fun learning environments; and value accessibility, collaboration, and high-quality arts experiences.
