The OrganizationCamino Nuevo Charter Academy (CNCA)is a community of high-performing public schools that utilizes a comprehensive approach to prepare students from preschool through high school for success in college and in life. Founded in 2000, Camino Nuevo Charter Academy students represent the neighborhood of MacArthur Park west of downtown Los Angeles, a community that is one of the most under-resourced and densely populated neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Teachers will perform a full range of duties, including but not limited to :

Plan and deliver instruction for assigned music

coursesPrepare and implement lesson plans that align to the California Visual and Performing Arts Standards in Music as well as cross-curricular grade level themes as applicableRegularly assess student progress to refine and differentiate instructionDevelop and execute culminating experiences for students such as recitals, concerts, etc.Foster a positive environment of learning and growth that is motivational for beginning and advanced music studentsAssist

in the development of art and music curriculum standards and mapping across the schoolCreate and execute a scope and sequence, long term plans, and unit plans in collaboration with central Programs teamParticipate in coaching, collaborative meetings, and professional development opportunities to improve music program and instructionCommunicate
