Job Overview:

Distant Moon's Line Producer and Production Accountant reports to the Senior Producer and works to support Distant Moon directors and producers. This job includes pre-production planning, project accounting, and financial reporting related to projects.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

Assists the Senior Producer in pre-production planning. This includes scheduling, corresponding with crew, procuring legal documents, tracking expenses, procuring locations, obtaining licenses, renting equipment, and scheduling production timelines.

Using Wrapbook to invite crew, pre-load project-specific paperwork, approve invoices and timecards based on crew contracts and budgeted amounts and flagging where totals exceed budgeted amounts.

Updating the Senior Producer and Operations Manager on status of project spend and projected overages / profits.

Creating all-project reports to show total profits YTD.Traveling periodically for on-set/on-location production, either locally or on travel jobs at Distant Moon's expense to act as the on-set line producer and/or assistant director.

Working with crew on set to ensure the client has the “Distant Moon” experience of a top-quality, service-focused production.

Working with the Director, DP, and ACs to communicate gear needs to Gear Manager and working with the Gear Manager to ensure all gear is procured and ready for the shoots.

Managing the sourcing and delivery of props and set design elements to shoots.

Ensuring productions stay within budget throughout the duration of the project.

Recording and organizing all production receipts and reconciling production budgets at the end of each project according to the correct budget codes.

Assisting the Senior Producer in managing Distant Moon's productivity through the project management software through tracking production deliverables and ensuring deadlines are met.

Taking the lead “backstage” in ensuring the on-set environment meets Distant Moon's standards of excellence, professionalism, and creativity.
