We are seeking a dedicated Music Instructor to join our team in school-based settings, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate should have experience and a passion for teaching music to students ranging from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade. The specific teaching hours will vary based on school placement. Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging music lessons tailored to the developmental levels and interests of students from Pre-K to 12th grade • Teach fundamental music concepts, theory, technique, and appreciation across a variety of instruments and vocal styles • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students can explore and develop their musical talents • Collaborate with school staff to integrate music education into the academic curriculum and extracurricular activities • Organize and conduct rehearsals for school music ensembles, such as choirs, bands, or orchestras • Prepare students for performances, recitals, competitions, and other musical events throughout the school year • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their musical growth and development • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming music studio environment, adhering to safety protocols and equipment maintenance Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required • 3 Years of age-appropriate classroom teaching experience in applicable content area Bachelor’s Degree/ Master's Degree in the content area preferred, MD Teaching Certification, or at least 30 completed college credits • Lesson Plan Development: Experience in developing and executing age-appropriate lesson plans • Behavior Management & Classroom Management: Ability to enforce 100% engagement in a classroom at all times and utilize behavior management strategies to set and maintain clear expectations • Communication Skills: Strong possession of verbal and written skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and school administration • Prior experience in establishing environments whereby creative art is explored, discovered, and observed • A demonstrated track record of propelling student academic growth and mastery • Commitment to ongoing professional development • Proven experience as a Music Instructor, preferably in educational or youth settings • Proficiency in teaching a range of musical instruments and vocal techniques • Strong knowledge of music theory, music history, and various musical genres • Ability to inspire and motivate students of different ages and skill levels • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school personnel • Certification in music education or related field is advantageous • Passion for music education and a commitment to nurturing students' musical abilities If you are enthusiastic about music education and dedicated to fostering a love for music in young learners, we encourage you to apply for this fulfilling role.
