Experiential Marketing Manager

is responsible for creating extraordinary experiences, bringing our award-winning beers and brand vibes to fans and customers across the country. In this role, you will identify, manage and execute best-in-class events and experiences to engage new and loyal consumers, as well as key distributor and retail customers. This position is on-site and based out of Bend, OR.

What You'll be Doing:

Act as the face of Deschutes Brewery to customers, distributor partners, event partners and manage events and experiences across the company

Manage and lead national and regional events that drive commercial growth and brand awareness

Foster deep relationships between our customers and our brand

Collaborate with the marketing leadership team in coordinating with brand management to build integrated go-to-marketing plans that deliver increased brand awareness and affinity

Lead and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including marketing, sales, brewing and operations to deliver engaging and impactful events

Own and optimize team sponsorship and partnership relationships. Work to protect our community relationships in our backyard and increase our brand affinity, relevance and purchase intent amongst consumers

Create company-wide strategies, goals, and tactics to improve the customer experience through analyzing customer feedback, sales trends, marketing research and competitive data

Collaborate with the Food & Beverage leadership team on ways to create memorable experiences for our customers

Manage part-time and seasonal brand ambassadors that represent the brand and deliver an exceptional fan experience and support event staffing and additional needs

Make budget recommendations for how best to optimize event sponsorship dollars, owned experiential pop-ups, and team relationships

Manage external vendors and be key point of contact for partners and sponsorships

Ensure brand standards are adhered to and programs are being executed; provide insights on brand growth strategies to distributors and sales teams in the market

Liaise with the sales team to identify field opportunities through engage distributor partners and/or consumers

Streamline and execute our product donations program to build community with priority stakeholders

Develop, track and report on key Experiential KPIs that ladder to department and company goals. Analyze effectiveness of tactics and refine strategies as necessary

Must follow and adhere to all Deschutes Brewery company policies and procedures

Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll need for this Position:

Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required, or 4-years' experience in progressively responsible event leadership roles

2 years of events management experience

Creative, enthusiastic and self-motivated with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to think outside of the box with a high level of creativity

Strong leadership skills, detail-oriented, organized and self-motivated

Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities

Must be willing to work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends

Preferred Education, Experience & Attributes:

Direct experience in beer, wine or spirits preferred

Prior sales experience or interaction preferred

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Event management including set-up and take down of events

Travel within core markets required
