Other related fields such as Projects Control, QA/QC Inspection, 3D Geometrical and Intelligent Modeling, and Drafting are also available.
Our client is looking for a Senior Instrumentation & Control Designer to work on-site at their Denver, CO office. This person will ensure all engineering and design work performed adjusts to quality, cost, and schedule requirements.Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform designing/engineering work/deliverables as part of the Instrumentation & Control team.Ability to interpret client specifications.Coordinate/Communicate with other disciplines and the client.Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the client's Quality Assurance system.Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.If required, assist and support junior personnel within the instrumentation & controls engineering team.Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in instrumentation & controls engineering.If required, act as the instrumentation & controls engineering Lead on specific projects.May be required to provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.Ensure all engineering and design work performed adjusts to quality, cost, and schedule requirements.Ensure all design work is safe and carried out in a safe manner.Ensure all design work conforms to the codes and standards used by the client, or to agreed industry standards.Required Qualifications:
10+ years of direct Instrumentation & Control design and engineering experience.Working knowledge of Instrumentation & Control deliverables such as: Panel (JB and Marshalling) Design, P&ID's, Instrument Location Drawings, Instrument Installation Details, Instrument Specifications (Datasheets), I/O Lists, Material Requisitions, as well as Construction or Engineering Work Packages.Working knowledge (design/configuration/implementation) of any of the following systems:PLCs, preferably Modicon, GE, or Rockwell.SISs, preferably Triconex.DCS, preferably Honeywell TDC/TPS/Experion, Foxboro I/A, ABBxA.Working knowledge of industry standards and codes related to Instrumentation & Control system deliverables.Being able to work with multiple and concurrently small and medium projects.Working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design software.Working knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) software.
