K-UTE Radio is the official student-run online radio station at The University of Utah since 1988.
We broadcast a mix of underground music, familiar favorites, original podcasts, and live interviews. While we are a radio station at heart, K-UTE Radio is essentially a place for its members to work on art, video production, graphic design, web development, marketing, photography, audio production, social media management, and more.
Our platform strives to promote a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for both its members and community, while also being a hub for the growing local music scene in Salt Lake City. We provide a space for all students from different backgrounds, majors, and experiences to explore their creative pursuits and expand their knowledge on the media industry.
Commitment : 5-10+ hours/week. Varies during the semester based on deadlines, group needs, and assignments.
Scholarship Opportunities : First semester unpaid. Scholarships start to be available in the second semester. Every student is eligible to apply for a scholarship but it will be contingent on overall performance, commitment, enrollment, and fiscal budget. If a student doesn’t receive a scholarship they will continue serving as an intern until scholarship applications open for the following semester.
