The Marketing and Event Promotion Assistants play a crucial role in promoting MTD events and ensuring effective communication to potential audience. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can support our marketing and event promotion efforts in a multitude of ways.Key Responsibilities:Create and hang up posters around campus, downtown, and other designated locations to promote events.Adding custom photosRemoving canceled events to keep the calendar up to dateSource additional information and graphic material for events.Send event listings to community notice boards, using a provided list for distribution.Create initial drafts, proofread, and format concert programs on ProBuilder.Submit postings of upcoming events to IntercomCreate event slides for TVs in Whalen, Dillingham, and other areas on campusTake photos and videos during events, edit for posting, conduct interviews with performers and attendees.Assist with posting on MTD socials.Preferred Qualifications:Excellent attention to detail.Strong organizational and communication skills.Basic graphic design skills.Experience shooting and editing photos and videos.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Or, an ability and willingness to learn!Pay Rate : $15.00Instruction to ApplicantsInterested applicants must apply online atithaca.edu/jobsand attach a resume, cover letter, and a portfolio showcasing experience with graphic design or video/photo editing, if applicable.
