We stop at nothing because we’re the kind of people who give everything.The PositionThe Instructional Design Specialist is critical for Mid-America Transplant whose 250 staff members are focused on saving more lives every single day. This role will implement proven instructional design methodologies to analyze learning needs, design and develop content, define measurement systems and assess the effectiveness of various learning programs. The successful candidate will help us grow a team of phenomenal professionals by asking the right questions, working with subject matter experts, and translating that knowledge into diverse learning opportunities for our organization.ResponsibilitiesUnder limited supervision, the Instructional Design Specialist will work in a collaborative environment with departmental subject matter experts to develop blended learning & interactive learning experiences that will produce performance-based results to meet the business needs of the departments and the overall organization.Liaise with organizational stakeholders to identify and prioritize learning needsCollaborate with subject matter experts to understand learning needs of target audienceDesign and develop learning solutions and programs applying adult learning principles and systematic instructional design to create learning content that best fits the needs of the learner in all formats including online/self-paced, virtual instructor-led, in-person instructor-led and blended learningDefine project schedules and manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping track of project tasks and status through project documentation as well as communicating to stakeholdersDevelop assessment instruments to gauge learning progress and effectivenessPartner with HR members, Managers, Clinical Trainers, Preceptors and Performance Consultant to create programs that best pair training with experiential learning and coaching opportunitiesExperience and EducationAt least two years instructional content development experience, ideally with procedural learning focus. Healthcare experience a plus.Successful experience building learning across a breadth of design technologies.Implementation of a LMS or significant experience managing an LMS preferred. Absorb experience is a plus.Bachelor-degree strongly preferred. Will consider equivalent work experience.
