St. Ambrose University is seeking a talented Web and Digital Content Specialist to join our Marketing and Communications team. The Web and Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the university's website, internal portal, and related digital content to enhance the university's brand, engage key audiences, and promote the university's mission. This role requires excellent writing and editing skills for the creation of compelling and consistent content across various digital platforms. Skills in SEO optimization are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Website and Internal Portal Management

- Develop, manage, and maintain the university's web and internal portal ecosystem, ensuring it is up-to-date, informative, and visually appealing. Manage and SEO-optimize the university's website, including information architecture, user experience, and integration with SIS and CRM systems.

Digital Communications

- Create, edit, and curate compelling audience-centric content for the university's website, internal portal, and other digital platforms, including articles, photos, videos, and other multimedia. Collaborate with admissions, academics, athletics, and other departments to align digital content with university goals.

Digital Content Governance

- Support web and digital content governance systems. Support the success of the university's web and digital content calendar and ensure that content is published on a timely and consistent basis.

SEO

- Develop and implement compelling content that is search engine optimized. Research keywords, optimize website content, and analyze search traffic.

Digital Data and Analytics

- Use analytics and data to measure the effectiveness of the university's digital content and make recommendations for improvement.

Integration with Digital Marketing Campaigns

- Collaborate with other members of the Marketing and Communications team to effectively integrate web and digital content into digital marketing campaigns. Drive website traffic, audience growth, and engagement through compelling content, SEO optimization, and digital campaigns.

Compliance and Accessibility

- Ensure content meets or exceeds web and accessibility standards. Ensure web and digital content complies with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and practices.

Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in web design and digital marketing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.

3+ years managing digital content and websites for an organization.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Proficiency with content management systems and digital tools.

Knowledge of content marketing and audience segmentation.

Strong analytic skills and data-driven approach.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in higher education or a similar field.

Familiarity with TerminalFour CMS, Slate and Recruit CRM, Emma, Wufoo, and other university web and digital communication tools.
