This role requires an imaginative flair, awareness of current fashions in the visual arts, a working knowledge of the latest computer packages, and an understanding of material costs and time limits. The Web Designer will also assist in other projects not directly related to the web and is expected to manage and track their time and efforts across multiple projects.Main Activities:Meeting clients to discuss their needs;Interpreting the client's business needs;Developing design briefs by gathering information and data to clarify design issues;Thinking creatively to produce new ideas;Using innovation to redefine a design brief while meeting constraints of cost, time, and client;Multi-tasking across multiple design briefs;Using a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design;Producing accurate and high-quality work;Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief;Keeping abreast of developments in IT, web design, print, and design programs;Working well in a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, account executives, website programmers, and marketing specialists;Working to tight deadlines;Reporting to the Art Director.Requirements:Creative thinker, open to idea exploration;Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team-oriented setting;Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and web design best practices;Excellent understanding of standard graphics/web applications (Photoshop, Illustrator);Results-oriented, customer-driven, organized with rigorous attention to detail;Effective time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously;Minimum 3 years professional experience;BFA in Graphic Design or related field preferred.Benefits:Health Insurance;Holidays;Vacation.How to Apply:If you are interested in an exciting career with a dynamic, growing company, please send your resume with a cover letter, specifying the job title of interest in the subject line, to jobs@franklinsquires.com or fax to (801) 375-7707.
