Under general supervision, the Admissions & Outreach Communications Coordinator (Coordinator) serves as the lead contact for Hobsons (Admissions Communication Data Management System) and inputs all data and communication requests. The Coordinator is responsible for the application development, implementation, testing, reporting, and support for all communication modules within Hobsons. This position is also responsible for collaborating with other departments to create communication plans for prospective students, applied/admitted students, and Admission and Outreach events. They will be responsible for sending out messages to students, incoming students, and the community regarding admission events and deadlines.FLSA:

Exempt (not eligible for overtime)Anticipated Hiring Range:

Anticipated hiring range is $3,949 per monthCSU Classification Salary Range:

$3,949 per month - $7,143 per monthWork Hours:

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. Work hours may vary depending on department need.Department Information:

Admission and Outreach sponsors and coordinates numerous recruitment activities and offers prospective and current students individual and group admission counseling and accurate, efficient document processing.Minimum Qualifications:

Entry to the first level within this classification requires knowledge of the fundamentals of public affairs and/or media relations, and/or some exposure to marketing and marketing research. This background normally is obtained through a college degree, which includes relevant coursework in the field, and up to two years of related professional or technical experience. In addition, strong written and verbal communication skills with a solid foundation in grammar, spelling, and the composition of various communication vehicles are essential to initial entry to this classification.Required Qualifications:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Knowledge of methods, procedures, practices, and activities of the data management area.Advanced level knowledge to work independently on technology and software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and communication tools.Ability to interpret and apply department policies and procedures.Ability to rapidly acquire a general knowledge of the overall operation, functions, and programs of the campus.Advanced level knowledge of English grammar, business writing, punctuation, and spelling.Ability to use initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments.Strong ability to reason logically, collect, compile, analyze, and evaluate data and make verbal or written presentations based on these data.Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a variety of internal partners from university management, faculty, and staff.Ability to compose and appropriately format statistical data reports.Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Must plan and execute multiple work priorities, organize, and plan work and projects.Ability to modify communication plans quickly and accurately in response to changing directives and enrollment environment.Exceptional interpersonal skills, to deal tactfully and effectively with faculty and staff working under stress and pressure of short deadlines and multiple projects.Condition of Employment:Ability to pass a background check.Preferred Qualifications:Computing experience which includes demonstrated knowledge of relevant hardware, software, maintenance, and user support; skill in the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.Knowledge of campus and admissions specific software systems and applications such as CMS, Data Warehouse, Student Center, My SacState, and CSU Mentor.Knowledge of CSU and Sacramento State admission requirements, processes, and timelines.Familiarity with Sacramento State academic and student programs and offerings.Documents Needed to Apply:ResumeFailure to upload required documentation may lead to disqualification.Note to Applicants:
