RoleA hands-on technical director position with responsibility for building and owning key aspects of the HELIX platform including custom Unreal Engine optimisations, scaling and multiplayer infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for:
Owning development and optimisation of core platform.
Building and leading a team of experts working remotely in the UK.
Contributing technical expertise to influence design decisions.
AboutWe are building the HELIX sandbox. HELIX contains a powerful and intuitive set of tools including a procedural city generator and custom networking solution that allows gamers to create and host their own virtual worlds in hyper-realistic detail.
TeamWe’re a team of design focussed product engineers and video games professionals with a track record of delivering innovation at scale. This includes gaming experiences for 500 million+ monthly players and consumer facing tech platforms with 1 billion daily users.
Requirements
Experience building scalable multiplayer games.
Experience building and leading remote teams.
Experience digging deeper with Unreal Engine 5 and not relying on out of the box functionality.
