The Direct Marketing Segmentation Specialist is at the heart of our direct response operations, tasked with the critical role of analyzing and segmenting donor data to optimize fundraising campaigns. This position involves deep data analysis, creative problem solving, and strategic thinking to drive successful fundraising outcomes.Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Segmentation:

Partner with the Segmentation team lead and Data Analysts to analyze and segment donor populations to identify key opportunities for targeted fundraising campaigns. Utilize tools and techniques to mine data for valuable insights and profitable segments.

Campaign Strategy Development:

Work closely with account management team to develop and refine campaign strategies based on audience insights. Manage the integration of data findings into campaign planning and execution.

Generate Merge/Purge Strategies:

Translate campaign strategies to action by working closely with service bureaus and data partners to ensure that detailed, accurate merge/purge instructions are provided and followed, preventing data duplication and ensuring list hygiene and efficient use of data in campaigns.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment on campaign targets and data use. Manage cross-team timelines for project kicking. Manage relationships with internal teams and external partners to enhance campaign execution.

Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseAdvanced Data Skills:

Strong proficiency in database management and data analysis tools. Experience with CRM systems and data validation.

Strategic Thinking:

Ability to translate data insights into actionable campaign strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Communication & Collaboration:

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams. Experience in managing stakeholder relationships is crucial.

Fundraising Knowledge:

Understanding of direct response fundraising mechanisms and strategies. Experience in nonprofit marketing or fundraising is highly desirable.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field.

Exposure to data analysis or segmentation within a fundraising or direct marketing environment.
