Evening Operations LibrarianQualifications:Educational Background MLS, MLIS or equivalent degree from A.L.A. accredited institution.Experience and Special SkillsGeneral undergraduate reference experience is highly valued.Knowledge of digital resources and database searching is required.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are needed.Initiative and self-motivation must be demonstrated.General FunctionsResponsible for providing general reference/research services to all library patrons, interlibrary loan, and collection maintenance.Oversees general library functions during the evening hours.Takes initiative with library tasks.Supervises student workers.Specific ResponsibilitiesProvides reference/research assistance to students, faculty and administrators on a one-on-one basis both in-person and online via email, chat and zoom.Assists patrons with all aspects of library database searching, interlibrary loan, as well as the procurement of any materials citedParticipates in materials selection and weedingAssumes additional duties and projects at the request of the Library Director, Assistant Director, or the Head of Research and Instruction, and acts as a cooperative team member with the entire Library staff.RelationshipsReports to the Library Director.Reporting to this position are various student employee(s), as assigned.Works closely with the entire Library staff, students, faculty, and administrative staff to ensure smooth and cooperative working relationships between the Library and the entire campus.HoursDuring the fall and spring semesters hours are from 5:30pm to 1am, Monday through Thursday and Friday 3:30 to 11pmIntersession hours are Monday through Friday 11:30am to 7pm.Job URL https://daemen.applicantpro.com/jobs/3416083
