BareBones Productions is seeking to hire a Graphic Designer for the
2024 Halloween Extravaganza
who will work individually and collaboratively with BareBones Co-Directors, Communications Director, and other BareBones staff. The Graphic Designer will create poster designs for a public performance/ritual related to grief, death, ancestors, loss, and remembering.Qualifications or Requirements
Experience and excellent skills in the area of graphic design for creative organizationsExperience collaborating with a wide variety of community members, including folks of various ages, races, cultures, genders, family structures, abilities, spiritual beliefs, and who speak a variety of languagesWillingness to learn, self-reflect, and grow in the areas of equity, inclusion, and anti-biasAdaptability, flexibility, and strong communication, organization, and time-management skillsHigh standard of organizational and communication skillsMust Work/Attend
BareBones Buildup 2024
(paid orientation). Collaborate with the 2024 Team to create protocols to address interpersonal dynamics, safety, workload fairness, communication, and organizationEither the kick-off or the final storyboarding meeting to get a sense of the show (see below).Create design options for a 2024 poster that incorporates the title, themes, and elements of the 2024 BareBones ExtravaganzaWork with the Communications Director and other BareBones staff to create a final design and prepare the design to be printedDeliver design to print shop and deliver the final product to Communications Director and Merch CoordinatorParticipate in digital communication (email, text, phone) promptlyPrioritize the physical and emotional safety of every participant, including Covid precautionsParticipate in final wrap-up surveyAs this is a temporary, independent contractor position, candidates are required to have their own access to materials and technologies necessary for the job.Terms
