Job Summary
The Football Videographer will work as part of the creative team to ensure the production of high-quality, compelling videos and other creative audio and visual content for the Football program and recruiting interests. Football Videographer will assist in determining the creative and visual storytelling direction for football and help push the Utah brand forward. Teamwork, communication, cinematography, and editing will be critical skills for this position. The Football Videographer will produce content for the football program, but not limited to, highlight/interview packages, behind-the-scenes features, personalized recruiting content, and other feature and recruiting content. This position will creatively highlight the university, city, and program strengths. The position will also be developing content during recruit photoshoots, and may perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
This position will work with both the Football Recruiting Dept. and creative team, as well as Utah Athletics, to generate fun, engaging, next-level video content. This position must work collaboratively across multiple departments, including marketing, communications, broadcast, branding, and recruiting. Within the structure, this individual must demonstrate proficiency and creativity in non-linear video editing, color correction, and sound design, using mainly Adobe Creative Suite. Proficiency as a cinematographer in both studio and live sporting event settings along with creative lighting and studio setup also will be required. Motion design and Adobe After Effects experience is preferred. This position will require organization and excellent management of several tasks or projects simultaneously. This position will require a flexible work schedule that will include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Multimedia, or a related field, or equivalency, plus two years of directly related experience in shooting video, video production, and content creation.
