The work is meaningful, the culture is rewarding, and the purpose is eternal.The Associate Producer position exists to help shape content and collaborate with the production team to contribute to the development and execution of high-quality radio programs that align with the mission to strengthen families and promote biblical principles.Assists in the planning and coordinating of radio program content, ensuring alignment with Focus On The Family's values and objectivesCollaborates with hosts, writers, and other team members to develop engaging and relevant contentParticipates in pre-production meetings and contributes innovative ideas for programsCoordinates logistics for remote recordings and interviewsAssists in managing relationships with guests, contributors, and external partnersStays informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance the quality of our radio productionsSupports social media and digital content initiatives related to radio programsOther Duties/Responsibilities:Attends weekly producer’s meetingPerform other duties as assignedWorking Environment/Physical Requirements:Must have ability to work occasional long hours on short noticeStress and pressure associated with deadlinesJOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSCharacter/Spiritual:Exemplifies Ephesians 5:1-2, “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us...”

Prays personally for Focus on the Family’s staff and constituents and may occasionally lead in a public prayerThis role is considered a Spokesperson for Focus on the Family and should represent Focus’ position and tone at all timesPersonal Characteristics:Professional, detail-oriented, thorough, flexible, articulate, logical, decisive, self-motivated, diplomatic, sensitive, considerateKnowledge/Experience:Bachelor's degree in broadcasting, journalism, communications, or a related field2-4 years of experience in radio production, including scriptwriting and studio operationsSkills, Abilities and Special Talents/Gifts:Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of and commitment to Focus On The Family's mission and valuesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as neededPay Range:
