Interior Designer / Space Planner Dearborn, Michigan

The Interior Design/Space Planning Team is responsible for the creation of the Global Workplace Standards and to ensure adherence to the standards. The Planning Team meets with customers to ascertain their needs and provides detailed floor plans and direction to the project management team to implement. This position will be working exclusively on projects with one of our clients, often at the client site (in Dearborn, MI) but will also be required to travel frequently to out-of-state locations, as well as locations in Canada. A viable candidate MUST be able to cross the Canadian border with a valid passport and/or enhanced license.Essential Job Functions:Programming scope and development in adherence with the Global Workplace StandardsTest fit space plansDetailed space plansFurniture plansInterior finish plansDevelops and executes migration and phasing plans for relocation and sequencing based on the physical space requirementsEstablishes project goals and objectives, including but not limited to, schedule and budget parameters.Attends meetings with Business Division representatives and facilitates discussion/programming of space requirements (headcount/growth, allocations, adjacencies, special support needs).Follows deviation process if applicable.The Planning Team coordinates and provides input to the following teams:DCT FinanceDCT Project ManagementIT Project ManagementArchitects and EngineersProperty ManagementMove TeamChange ManagementCommunicationsCADEmployment Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design is requiredExperience:5+ years’ experience with interior architecture, specifically space planning, furniture selection and finish plansProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong attention to detailUnderstanding of building codes a plusStrong organizational skillsProgramming and scope development of space a plusAbility to multi-task and prioritize to meet project deadlinesJoin our team and work on forward-thinking projects all around the world.
