Graphic Designer

Stretch Zone is currently seeking a rockstar graphic designer to be part of our team! Stretch Zone is a pioneer in the health and wellness segment of Practitioner Assisted Stretching. With over 300 stores open, we are the fastest growing and largest service provider in the industry.

We're looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and digital media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every project.

This person will report to the VP of Marketing, and will work closely with Marketing Manager in executing the department’s marketing plan and fulfilling marketing needs. This role will be responsible for the shaping of our Marketing Team's visual aspects of websites, print ads, digital ads, social graphics, store signage, corporate identity, exhibitions, multimedia design, and more. Creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design is a must.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMeet with Leadership Teams to understand what is needed out of a project

Test graphics across various media.

Responsible for quality projects being developed on time and within budget. Ensure scope changes are processed and incorporated into the current scope of work in a timely manner.

Communicate all project issues to the appropriate level of management in a timely manner.

Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.

Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company appropriately

Work independently as well as cooperatively with marketing team to meet deadlines

Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities

Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video

Able to give and receive constructive criticism.

Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.

Perform related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.

COMPETENCIES

Strong project management and organization skills, a keen eye for aesthetics with meticulous attention to detail.

Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity

Solid knowledge of design and visual principles.

Mastery of design software and technologies (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.).

Proficiency with full Microsoft Office suite, and willingness / ability to learn and effectively utilize proprietary software systems.

Ability to self-direct and work independently, while maintaining productive team relationships with colleagues both inside and outside the organization.

Demonstrate the ability to manage expectations and the scope and scale of projects.

Attention to detail composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field

Two or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency

Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web.

Strong communication skills.

Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects.

Demonstrated ability to maintain high-level and consistent work ethic in all work-related duties.
