This position plays an important role in elevating the bank’s brand and creating effective communications for a variety of audiences across all communication platforms.The ideal candidate must possess strong composition and organizational skills; demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills; be self-motivated and quality oriented; work with a sense of urgency; excel at design and creative problem solving and have experience in technical graphic design.Position responsibilities include:Conceptualizes and creates compelling designs in digital and print formats.Leads the design process from concept to completion.Collaborates with corporate communications team, internal stakeholders and vendors.Manages a high volume of projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Maintains and enhances brand perception through high-quality design work.GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARYAs a member of a creative team, designs, illustrates, produces and helps conceptualize a wide range and high volume of original print and digital marketing, advertising, and public relations and internal communications material in support of the bank’s brand and culture, and to help achieve strategic objectives by performing the following duties and responsibilities:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions.Conceptualizes and creates compelling designs in digital and print formats for public relations-related materials such as newspaper and magazine advertisements, brochures, posters, calendars, annual reports, presentations, manuals, logos, digital ads, social media, internal communications and special projects.Leads the design process from concept to completion, including ideation and final production.Collaborates closely with marketing project managers, copywriters and internal stakeholders to understand project objectives and deliver designs that align with brand guidelines, messaging objectives and organizational values; provides input, ideas and suggestions to support the goals of individual projects and overarching bank objectives.Manages a high volume of projects for multiple bank business lines simultaneously while meeting deadlines, maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.Authors and maintains a current branding guide of approved corporate logos, fonts and color palettes, incorporating input from marketing managers and team members. Stays up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and best practices to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the bank’s brand and designed collateral.Selects and secures illustrative and photographic materials, and conceives and assigns production of material and detail to contracted artists, photographers, typographers, and other pre-press service vendors, providing technical and creative guidance as necessary.Develops and maintains relationships with vendors to support ongoing business needs. Maintains awareness of current printing and digital standards and resources; makes recommendations for cost-effective production of print materials.Works with outside specialists to register, purchase, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software relevant to performing these essential functions. Provides troubleshooting, maintenance, and registration support for all related hardware and software, Adobe Creative Suite, and other major graphics applications. This includes working with the bank’s internal IT team and external vendors to identify and resolve hardware and software problems and maintaining a working knowledge of hardware, software, and cross-platform issues.Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Minimum:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, visual communication or a related field and three years of technical graphic work experience; or five years of technical graphic work experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software. Knowledge of print production processes and specifications.Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in a graphic arts-related field and four years of technical graphic work experience; or six years of technical graphic work experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience. Experience in print, digital and video graphic design. Advanced computer layout, print and production processes and specifications.SKILLS and ABILITIES:Advanced knowledge of design-related hardware and software applications (Mac or Windows); Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; and other major graphics and desktop publishing software experience required. Advanced written and verbal communication and the ability to think critically and effectively manage time, priorities, and resources are required. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint software experience preferred.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional and technical journals, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions.REASONING SKILLS:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
