statesman.com.The ideal candidate will contribute to a culture of robust and sustainable audience growth by writing stories, editing video, producing social media content, newsletters, and applying SEO best practices. Candidates should be detail-oriented and strong collaborators, upholding high journalistic standards. Night and weekend work is required.Responsibilities:Execute tactics to grow readership through writing, push alerts, off-platform content, and SEO-focused ideation.Monitor SEO trends and engage core sports audiences effectively.Track progress, contribute new content ideas, and collaborate with the SEC coverage team.Contribute to other needs as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor's or master’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field.Strong writing, editing, headline-writing skills, and SEO experience.Excellent news judgment and ability to work under pressure.Experience with storytelling on multiple platforms and strong knowledge of AP style.Effective communicator, able to work in various shifts.We are eager to learn more about you and your work.
