24500628950625The Assistant Director for Strategic Communications serves as the primary contact for multiple varsity athletic teams at Boston University, an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Patriot League and Hockey East. This position handles the publicity and public relations of the assigned teams and their coaches and student-athletes primarily through GoTerriers.com and social media platforms.A main component of the position is contributing to the creative unit within MarCom to enhance outreach and engagement with fans, alumni, parents, media, and both current and potential student-athletes. Other primary responsibilities include management and distribution of statistics, photos/videos, and written work (bios, recaps, previews, etc.) to best tell the stories of the department and its student-athletes and staff. The MarCom unit includes communications, marketing, and video (broadcasts & social media), and ideal candidates should be prepared to contribute to and be highly involved with all three components.Required Skills
