Graphic Designer II .Position Summary:

Creates final mechanicals with attention to composition, color, typography and visual impact.Role Qualifications:Must be able to effectively execute design solutions against a creative brief to meet constraints of cost, time and client needsMust work well in a team, with printers, copywriters, photographers, proofreaders, other designers, account executives, website designers and marketing specialistsPosition Responsibilities:Designs and executes mechanicals, based on client specification, brand standards, budget constraints and final format needed for file outputDetermines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon specs and aesthetic design conceptsPresents sample to Creative Director for approvalProvides final pre-flight of digital files that are delivered to clients and vendors to ensure the accuracy of the completed projectReviews proofs from vendorsUses a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided designKeeps abreast of developments in marketing and advertising environmentsContributes ideas and design artwork to the overall briefOther duties as assignedRequirements

Bachelor’s degree in Digital Graphic Design, Advertising or Marketing, or 3 to 5 years’ experience in a related field requiredAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memosProficiency in graphic design software in a Mac environment including Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro and PhotoshopAbility to execute files using Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Word and ExcelThinks creatively to produce new ideasAbility to think visually and to envision a project from beginning to endMust be able to solve complex problems, make judgments and decisions, and think logically and criticallyAbility to multitask while meeting tight deadlinesProduces accurate and high-quality workPaid vacation, sick leave and holidaysMedical/Vision/Dental/Short-Term Disability/Long-Term Disability/Accident/Critical Care InsuranceEmployer paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability401(k) matchingCool people to work with!Salary Description
