Dance & Bmore is seeking a talented and creative Mid-Level Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video, excellent technical skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role will play a crucial part in capturing and showcasing the impact of our programs, events, and performances to a wide audience.Mission: Dance & Bmore’s mission is to create meaningful human connections through movement, music, and theater for communities and individuals at every age and stage of life. We design a progression of programs over a life-time of creative enrichment that improve the social-emotional health of youth, families, and elders.Job Title: Video Editor (Independent Contractor) Engaged on a project basis.Role Description: With input from senior staff, the video editor will edit short video content (usually less than 10 minutes) depicting Dance & Bmore’s community arts programs, to be used for promotional and educational purposes, such as grant applications, presentations, training, and social media.Role Responsibilities:Discuss ideas and desired outcome of each project with Dance & Bmore staffEdit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging videos that align with the organization's mission and objectivesWork with media including photos, videos, and audio recordings into high-quality videosCollaborate closely with the marketing and communications team to develop video content strategies and conceptsIncorporate graphics, animations, and special effects as needed to enhance the visual appeal of videosOptimize videos for various platforms and formats, including social media, websites, and presentationsCommunicate with Dance & Bmore staff about project timeline, deadlines, and deliverablesMinimum and preferred qualifications:2+ years of professional experience in video editing, preferably in a nonprofit or creative environment.Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro (experience or expertise in other video editing programs welcome)Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Pay Rate: Pay will be negotiated on a project-by-project basis, dependent on the project budget, but will range between $20 - $30 per hour.Employer Name: Dance and BmoreEmployer Website:
