Job Responsibilities:
Support the department by creating moderately complex mechanical/electrical/electronic designs for new product parts, subassemblies, assemblies, or systems configurations using CAD or manual systems; compile Bills of Materials; assist in the assembly of prototypesDraw multiple views; depict relationship of component and parts; identify dimensions, angles, curvatures, tolerances, and materials; prepare bills of material and specifications; create documentation required and processing Engineering Change Orders; ensure adherence to designated quality and cost parameters; use CAD systemsEnsure quality of drawings and functionality of equipment by: assisting in the building/acquiring of prototypes; testing and analyzing results; making various calculations, such as strength of materials, weights, simple forces, and stresses, frequently using charts and tables; analyzing the effect of proposed changes for proper fit and/or interference problems; recommending possible solutions or alternate construction; modifying drawings as required; conferring with engineers to resolve issues; adhering to Company policies and proceduresProvide assistance to lesser experienced drafters by communicating work priorities; provide technical assistance; verify accuracy of workMaintain CAD equipment by: following manufacturer's instruction and procedures; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs, as requiredContribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive mannerSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organizationMaintain technical knowledge by: conferring with technical specialists and suppliers; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

Associate's degree or its equivalent and 4+ years of experience in the field or in a related area3D CAD experience, Creo preferredUnderstanding of GD&T principles and tolerance analysisTooling design for environmental and system performance testingKnowledge of commonly-used concepts, processes, and precision assembly methodsProficient in MS Office products
