We incorporate design thinking, experiences, and create scalable marketing solutions within defined business goals. We strive to build a leading global brand in our industry that deeply connects with our customers.As the Visual Designer, you will be working across multiple channels to create, maintain, and evolve Illumina’s design to amaze our customers. You will be working closely with various teams to ensure consistency and innovation are present in all elements of our evolving brand expression. The ideal candidate will be a design champion who inspires those around them and is obsessed with establishing and upholding the highest standards of quality. You utilize knowledge of design and cultural trends to guide creative solutions. You want to be part of a close-knit, highly engaged team that values collaboration and shares a quest for creative excellence.Job Responsibilities

You value empathy, patience, and kindness towards yourself and othersYou are comfortable working closely with roles outside of design, such as developers, product managers, science writers, and strategistsYou feel proud to present your work and have strong communication skillsYou feel confident working alone, though also enjoy collaborating with others to solve design challengesYou are self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage multiple creative efforts in parallelYou are passionate about design thinking, engaging in creative concepts, and being a champion of visual excellence across all Illumina teamsYou understand how to design strategically across all mediums, audiences, and touchpointsYou will contribute to refining our brand guidelines, support product launches, segment-based campaigns, branded activations & broader organizational creative tasksYou are an expert in color theory, layout, and graphic design using Illustrator, InDesign, and PhotoshopYou feel comfortable using Adobe XD, Figma, and SketchYou have familiarity with After Effects, Premiere, and Media EncoderJob Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related fieldsAn online portfolio showcasing your mastery of brand identity, graphic design, and visual excellence5+ years of professional experience in the visual design field within an agency or in-house setting
