You don't have to have prior experience in the B2B / marketing space, but you should be curious, ambitious, a get-stuff-done-er designer, and a phenomenal project manager.Important position notes:Blue Seedling does not have offices. This position is fully remote, but we’re looking for US East Coast-based candidates only (because of time zone constraints).This is a self-employment position. You’ll be working closely with all Blue Seedling team members and partners - other B2B marketers, designers, web developers. It’s like living a dozen different lives at once.”Your responsibilities - or how you’ll be spending your dayYou’ll be supporting both in-house design at Blue Seedling as well as assisting on client projects. Here are some examples of projects you’ll work on:Design various social media templates for Blue Seedling so the team can easily create plug-and-play graphics that are always on brand.Photoshop images from a client event to pass off to the marketing team for an upcoming blog post.Design a conference booth for a client – with company swag to accompany it, of course.Craft banners, social posts & emails to help drive sign ups to an upcoming webinar.Participate in team meetings.Assist in creation of a Blue Seedling style guide and help coach team members to adhere to design guidelines to maintain company wide consistency.Elevate the Blue Seedling brand with super cool company swag and dream up ways to improve current design. The sky’s the limit!Your qualifications - or things you’re good at2 - 5 years experience with Adobe programs (you’re super comfortable using Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop in particular).You have experience with both print and digital design as clearly demonstrated in your rockstar portfolio. You’re comfortable working with a style guide to create engaging graphics that are also on brand.A plus if you also have experience using Figma, Canva, Wordpress, basic HTML/CSS knowledge, and/or have experience or interest in animation, motion graphics or illustration. Eagerness to learn and pick up new skills to add to your toolkit is absolutely essential.Familiarity with UX/UI design. You have a great sense of what good web design looks like and can share feedback to help make improvements.Superb communication skills. You’re a top notch over-communicator. You want to make everyone’s lives easier and are always thinking of ways to give those around you the tools to use design assets effectively.Detail-obsessiveness and Getting Stuff Done-ness: You hate the thought of anything slipping through the cracks and you practice Inbox Zero religiously. You insist on keeping your design files neat and label your layers to the point of obsession so they're ready at a moment’s notice to pass off. Your file organization is superb, if you went on a month long vacation, everyone on the team could easily find what they needed.Ambitious, curious, resourceful, and fast: You may not have all the answers but you’re an expert at figuring out how to get it done. You know that design requests often need fast turnarounds, you move quickly while also being careful and diligent. You welcome feedback and are always looking for ways to improve.You’re the person everyone wants on their team. You’re a ray of sunshine and positivity.
