Come be a part of something truly special!We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our NASA SEWP team--seeking a Graphic Designer to join our growing Communications team. The candidate will have experience in both print and digital media, be able to present ideas for new designs, and will take direction from written or spoken ideas to convert them into graphics, template layouts, advertisements, social media images, and other designs for internal and external use.Skills/Experience

Have a demonstrable understanding of graphic design and editing abilitiesPerform all roles in graphic design, optimizing the final piece for multiple channel distribution and portalsBe familiar with motion graphics, special effects and compositingHave a sophisticated understanding and use of typographyDevelop a list of graphic design standards to ensure a consistent look and feel (including style, logos and fonts)Investigate and implement best practices for online media productionDevelop new and update current media presentationsSupport the Communications team in an ongoing effort to incorporate innovative design tools and techniquesThink critically about workflow and practice, and help identify creative solutions for process improvementsProofread and edit internal and external design content (marketing materials, newsletters, advertisements, etc.)Be familiar with ADA / Section 508 compliance standardsTake on other duties as assignedRequirements

Proficient with digital technology and Adobe Creative Suite. Examples include: InDesign, Photoshop, Audition, etc.Experience with design graphicsProficient with Microsoft Office softwareMust possess excellent writing and proofreading skillsProficient in preparing and editing documentationCan produce quality products that require limited correctionsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt to last-minute changesExcellent organizational, verbal and written communication skillsAbility to be in office 2-3 times per week.Provide access to, or samples of, their portfolio and/or other work samplesQualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Film, Broadcasting and Mass Communications, or related field4+ years of professional multi-media and graphic design experienceHalvik Offers a Competitive Full Benefits Package Including
