GENERAL PURPOSE

Provides graphic design, visualization and creative problem solving expertise to team members and internal partners in support of business plans. Activities include development of communication materials and sales tools that positions and directs product/services information for internal and/or prospective and competitively held customers.

Essential FunctionsWork within the Herman Miller Brand Team to concept, prototype, and execute creative projects with direction from Art Directors and Senior DesignersDesign tools across all media, including print, digital, social, environmental, and motionTake on specialized tasks (typesetting, image cropping, prototyping, among others)Adhere to project deadlinesExceed expectations for quality and creativityQualificationsEducation/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field. Or equivalent education and experience required.1 year of experience as a Junior Designer, or equivalent experience in internships.Skills and Abilities:Proficient in design software (Adobe Creative Suite and Figma primarily) and basic motion editing software (Adobe After Effects)Strong understanding of design principles and processesAbility to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate with creatives and non-creatives alikeCreative problem solving skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learnAttention to detailTime management and multitasking abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors. You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
