The Chazen Museum of Art, University of Wisconsin-Madison, seeks a Preparator to perform specialized professional duties relating to the care and conservation, handling and movement, storage, and installation of art objects at the Chazen Museum of Art. The incumbent designs and fabricates visual display elements, from cabinetry and casework to lighting and labeling. At least 3 years of experience with fabrication and/or art handling in a museum or large gallery setting is required. A BFA or Bachelor’s degree is required. Experience or familiarity with the principles of exhibition design is a benefit.This position is full-time and includes full university benefits.
