The Role:An opportunity has arisen for an experienced EC&I Senior Designer to join Addison as part of an existing design team in our Head Office, Thornton-Cleveleys, however we will consider applications for people who would like to be based in our Daresbury office and who are willing to travel to Thornton-Cleveleys weekly or hybrid working. Working with minimal supervision you will join an established team delivering a range of projects within the manufacturing and process industries.About you:You must possess suitable and relevant qualifications within EC&I, minimum of an HNC preferably a Degree.You must have experience in working to British and International Standards, Company Standards, Industry Regulations, EC Directives. It would also be beneficial to have experience of CDM Regulations, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.It is desirable that you have experience in completing site surveys to measure and investigate, determine equipment locations, cable routes, and liaise with client’s engineers.You must have experience attending and representing at Project Meetings with a range of stakeholders.It is essential that you have experience of electrical design with respect to MMC, LV distribution, lighting and earthing preferably within the Chemical, Petrochemical, and/or Oil and Gas industries.Experience of dealing with and specifying instrumentation with respect to pressure, temperature, flow, level etc would also be desirable.A good working knowledge of ATEX Directives for selection and installation of control and electrical equipment in Hazardous Areas would be beneficial.Knowledge of PLC and DCS control system I/O interfacing is also preferred.You will be able to design and produce all types of drawings & documentation, including instrument loop and electrical circuit diagrams, installation / layout diagrams for cable route and equipment location, block cable diagrams, electrical distribution diagrams, Installation Scopes of Work, material & cable schedules and tender packages.Able to produce designs using AutoCAD 2D with 3D being desirable.
