Job DescriptionThe department creates or vets copy that can pass the rigorous scrutiny of our clients’ medical-legal committees, as well as the FDA. The team also works with other capabilities to ensure that medical information is correctly conveyed within the creative execution.Collaborate with Creative and Account Services to formulate medically sound marketing contentDevelop research reports for client presentations, strategy presentations, and new business proposalWrite and review medically relevant, topical, and organized content for all types of marketing materialsEvaluate the utility of sources supplied by the client and other agenciesEducate Publicis Health Staff and freelancers on product research and claims limitsEducate Publicis Health Staff and freelancers on disease statesEducate Publicis Health Staff and freelancers on clients’ regulatory standardsReview completed, referenced documents to ensure passage in the client’s regulatory approval processBe prepared to defend editorial content before the client’s regulatory review committeesSupport the work of the copywriters by finding appropriate literatureSupport the work of Science & Medicine/Medical Editor track by assisting in obtaining appropriate supportive literature and providing feedback from the client’s regulatory reviewVet, query, and address medical and regulatory feedback from the client’s regulatory review teamQualificationsMaster’s or doctoral level (MD, DO, PhD) degree in healthcare or communication.7+ years of experience in medical writing or editing -

it is important that you come with commswriting experience and have written for commercial clients coming from the pharma or health industryFacility with US pharmaceutical marketing formatsFamiliarity with US pharmaceutical marketing regulationsFamiliarity with medical-legal review processesAbility to supervise more junior members of staffAbility to read and interpret the medical literatureAbility to search for appropriate medical literatureMust be capable of working both independently and in a team environmentMust know how to use Microsoft Word software. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft PowerPoint desirable
