Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload fairing, New Glenn is building the road to space.The New Glenn launch vehicle is the next step in achieving this vision using a reusable launch system crafted to take astronauts and payloads into space. As an Instructional Designer under direction from the Training Manager, you will work with various Subject Matter Experts to develop, quality check, and implement learner-centric, performance-based online training curricula integral to hard-working teams responsible for leading, developing and training professional operational crews. Top candidates require strong drive, attention to detail, organization, working long hours, and the ability to multi-task. We are looking for leaders with "Greater than Self" perspective and "Extreme Ownership".Relocation providedTravel expected up to 10% of the timeInterviews will include a technical assessmentIndependently design and develop complete technical learning contentLead, communicate, track and troubleshoot training content and projectsWork together with training team members and SMEsAssist in needs analysis to identify skills, knowledge, training, and procedural gapsImplement (publish, assign, maintain, update) training content with training professionals and SMEs using Learning and Training Management Systems, ticketing systems, wikis, websites, and shared foldersEvaluate training content materials for effectiveness with basic reports, survey results, and data analytics fundamentalsAssist the training team in training-related activities in preparation for New Glenn launchesProven ability in developing e-learning and training media for aerospace or related/similar high-technology, safety-critical industriesExpertise in developing video content (camera equipment, lighting, Adobe Premiere/Creative Cloud, Camtasia, etc.), eLearning software (e.g. Articulate Storyline), and other training materials (i.e. electronic PDFs, wikis, job aids, etc.)Proficiency balancing efficiency with quality using a broad range of design and development tools for online training content creationApplicable knowledge of key instructional design concepts and training project management. Includes: Adult learning theory, ADDIE/SAM/Agile, UX/UI design, accessibility, using brand style guides and templatesExperience authoring highly technical eLearning courses and videos (lesson objective and plans, evaluation criteria, scripts and outlines/storyboards, etc.) in a fast-paced environmentCurious, collaborative, and socially aware: Unafraid to ask complicated questions to a wide range of expertsUnderstand needs analysis results that identifies the best training deliverables and learning experiences needed for your audienceExcellent project management and prioritization skillsBasic administration and publishing using Learning Management Systems to include: SCORM, xAPI, wikis, websites, and Office 365 toolsDemonstrated success in developing, implementing, and customizing digital qualification, evaluation, and/or certification tracking systems for technical job rolesMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum3+ years of experience in developing e-learning and training media for aerospace or related/similar high-technology, safety-critical industriesExperience with Learning and Training Management Systems
