Applied Research Solutions is actively seeking a Graphic and Multimedia Designer at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL to support the USSOCOM Commander's Action Group. USSOCOM develops, and employs, the world's finest Special Operations Forces to conduct global special operations and activities as part of the Joint Force, in concert with the US Government Interagency, Allies, and Partners, to support persistent, networked, and distributed combatant command operations and campaigns against state and non-state actors all to protect and advance US policies and objectives.
Responsibilities Include:Design, produce, and display a variety of multimedia communications materials for the USSOCOM Commander's Action GroupDirectly support USSOCOM senior leadership in multimedia presentationsDevelop and disseminate multimedia materials for USSOCOM events and conferencesPrepare visual presentations for USSOCOM by designing art and copy layoutsPlan, analyze, and create original visual solutions for USSOCOM communications projectsIdentify the most effective way to communicate USSOCOM messages in print, electronic, and social media using color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniquesDevelop overall layout and production design of magazines, newspapers, journals, and other command publicationsUse perspective, isometric, orthographic, and schematic techniques to prepare technical and non-technical illustrations and line drawings for slide presentations, reports, brochures, etc.Produce promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures for USSOCOM conferences and eventsDesign distinctive logos, signs, and signage systems for USSOCOM conferences and eventsDevelop strategies, schedules, and materials for USSOCOM's web and social media presenceGather relevant information for multimedia projections by meeting with senior leaders and conducting independent researchPrepare sketches or layouts to illustrate vision for designsOther duties as assigned
Qualifications and Technical Experience Requirements:Must be a US CitizenSecurity Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI EligibilityBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Communications, or Marketing plus 8 years of experience in developing, coordinating, and delivering multimedia materials at the DoD senior executive levelPossess a portfolio of work that demonstrates exceptional creativity and expert technical skills in graphic design and multimediaProficient in rapidly preparing tailored presentations, communicating both verbally and in writing up to the senior executive levelExpert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, digital art applications, and interactive media, web, and social media platforms
