Position Summary:We are looking to add a
Communication & Engagement Specialist
to our HR Team. We need someone who thrives in an engaging work environment where there is constant, in-person interaction with people of all levels. This position will bring variety, challenges, and will require building strong relationships. The right person for this job is focused and coachable, wants everyone around them to succeed, and can bring some fresh and creative ideas, all while having fun!You will help lead our internal communications in multiple facets and will provide overall assistance to the HR department and company by playing a key supporting role in helping improve culture and engagement as well as the overall employee experience.This role provides an opportunity for someone with foundational HR, communication and/marketing experience to branch out into a variety of daily challenges and tasks.This is a full-time / in-office position located at our main office in Mendota Heights, MN.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and implement internal communication strategies that effectively promote the organization, including website management, content development, articles, presentations, and videos.Build connections with outside organizations to expand our recruiting efforts.Attend career fairs and other recruiting events.Support HR with a variety of duties including pre-employment, orientations, and more.Manage and maintain branding and presence on BR social media platforms.Develop and execute initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.Organize and facilitate employee appreciation, teambuilding and volunteering efforts and events.Manage event planning efforts of all sizes, including logistics, catering, audio visual, etc.Collect and analyze data to evaluate event success and make improvements for future events.Additional duties and projects as the position develops and grows.Required Experience/Education:Bachelors’ degree in HR, Communications, Marketing, or closely related field, preferredFamiliarity with social media platforms from a business perspectiveExcellent verbal and written communicationExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesUnderstands the importance of branding, consistency, creativity, and innovation.Creative mindset and great attitudeConstruction industry knowledge a plusProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience in digital/ social media creation and presence.Benefits of Joining our team!Base pay with potential for bonusLife InsurancePaid Time OffFamily owned and operatedPaid TrainingAdvancement opportunities – we aim to promote withinFamily Oriented – Annual eventsCompany Information:For more than 75 years, Bituminous Roadways has aspired to be your full-service asphalt pavement solutions provider, and contractor of choice, to both work for and with.
