for this job posting.Anticipated VacancyPOSITION: LIBRARY MEDIA SPECIALISTLOCATION: To be determinedFull-timeTen MonthsSalary: Per Negotiated AgreementThe successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:Earned Master's Degree in Library Media Specialist (Preferred)Current NYS certification as School Library Media Specialist (Required)Experience at the school Library Media Specialist level (Strongly Preferred)Comprehensive understanding of Common Core Learning Standards and NY state assessmentsThe ability and commitment to use technology as an instructional toolUncompromising commitment to continuous improvementBroad experience with a variety of instructional techniquesAbility to differentiate instruction for accelerated and delayed learnersEvidence of strong classroom management skills with age appropriate experiencesFlexibility, enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to develop programsEvidence of being a team playerAbility to facilitate a library and district resources that support the academic programs in the Lockport City School DistrictEvidence of the ability to collaborate with faculty to design standards based activitiesCommitment to working with all members of the community to accomplish the goals of the districtInterested applicants are to submit a letter of interest, resume, a completed application, three letters of reference (signed and dated within the past two years), a copy of all college transcripts and a copy of current NY State certification.
