Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, working from a different branch, working before and/or after business hours, working on Saturdays and working hours exceeding the standard work schedule.Position SummaryIn collaboration with the management team, the Marketing Research Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and applying member and market data to identify member needs, opportunities for market growth and expansion, and effective methods to promote products and services.1. Marketing ResearchDevelops and manages marketing research projects by clearly defining research objectives, using quantitative and qualitative research methods, and analyzing data using statistical techniques and programs, predictive analytics, and other data-driven tools.2. Member SurveysOversees and/or designs, conducts, and evaluates periodic member surveys and other data collection methods to identify member needs, preferences, opinions, and perceptions of the Credit Union. Identifies data that can be used to drive product development or be used on social media and in other marketing campaigns.3. ReportsCompiles findings from internal systems data, surveys and other research data into text, tables, and graphs. Presents findings in comprehensive and clear reports to supervisor, management, and the Board of Directors.4. Market SegmentationGathers and analyzes demographic data from internal and external sources to identify member characteristics and product and service utilization. Segments members into groups according to their needs, behaviors, demographics, and other characteristics to identify the products and services each group values most.5. Profitability AnalysisAssesses the profitability of products and member groups to identify the mix of products and services that generates the most revenue for each group and to allocate Credit Union resources accordingly.6. Management of MCIF SystemServes as a lead contact for the marketing customer information file (MCIF) system to include ensuring optimal operation of the system and the data and reporting integrity of the database. Regularly produces standard and customized MCIF reports for various departments for key performance metrics or as requested.7.) Marketing ROIAssesses the effectiveness and calculates the return on investment of advertising, marketing, social media, and communications campaigns and programs.Education & Experience

Minimum Required Education:This position requires an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. The experience must have been acquired in a field related to the required education.Minimum Required Experience:This position requires one year of experience in business, marketing, market research, or related field. Education at an accredited college or university in a field of study related to the required experience may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.Requirements

Additional Requirements:Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment credit check and criminal background check as a condition of employment.Job Specific Competencies:Knowledge of market research methodologies, statistical analysis, and research design, including survey design and software.Ability to conduct marketing research, analyze data, summarize research results, form conclusions, and make recommendations in a concise and understandable wayAbility to provide ongoing and ad-hoc research on competitive advertising, product, service, and pricing to inform product development, pricing, and marketing strategy.Proficient use of personal computers, internet applications, e-mail, and various Windows-based software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.Ability to calculate interest, discounts, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.Proficient use of standard office equipment including but not limited to fax machine, photocopier, and telephone.Knowledge of the features and benefits of products and services typically offered by financial institutions.Familiarity with a marketing customer information file (MCIF) or customer relationship management (CRM) software and conceptsProficient in SPSS or other statistical software.Additional Comments
