We are looking for a
Senior Manager, Marketing Communications
who can lend their expertise in marketing and communications to Moon and its ventures. Based out of our Palo Alto studio, you have a strong background in public relations, digital marketing, event marketing, community development/management, and internal communications. You also have strong experience leading and managing teams – fostering their continued growth and development as well as supporting them to achieve their individual, team, and company goals.You have the experience and confidence to deliver meaningful results while providing strategic executive and stakeholder counsel with diplomacy and finesse. You are proactive and creative offering up marketing and communications plans and execute on them based on the unique needs of our studios and ventures. You also have experience working on internal and external communication campaigns and channels such as newsletters, PR, socials, intranet, and events.What You’ll Do At MoonYou will be responsible for internal and external communications promoting Moon Creative Lab and its offeringsYou will take the lead in developing the strategy and execution of Moon’s events (in-person and virtual)You will foster a vibrant and supportive community environment through effective communication, including regular announcements, best practices, and eventsWork with teams across Moon, to create and curate content that will keep our community informed, inspired, and engaged.Act as the primary point of contact for Moon’s community in Silicon Valley/US, addressing inquiries and providing support as needed, ensuring a positive community member experience.You will work alongside venture teams planning and executing marketing and communications campaigns that may include growth marketing, digital marketing, and PR.You will work closely with the Tokyo-based Marketing and Communications team on global announcements and proactively plan and execute plans to support them in the USThe Must-HavesYou have a minimum of 5+ years’ relevant experience in marketing and communications; in-house and/or agency experience requiredYou have extensive knowledge of public relations, marketing, social media, and event managementYou excel at managing multiple projects dealing with disparate audiencesYou can craft compelling messaging for use in press releases, messaging documents, press presentations, bylines, blogs, social media posts, and FAQsYou have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience; MBA or advanced degree a plusThe Nice-to-HavesBeing bilingual in Japanese and English is a plusYou have worked with great success with startups to deliver top-tier media resultsAt Moon and each venture, it is also important to build a community with people who will engage, not just an audience.
