Job Summary

The Graphic Designer will transform marketing and communication strategies into effective creative solutions—from initial concept all the way through design, iteration and production. This position reports directly to the Art Director, Web Design but works closely with the Content Writing team, Brand Strategists and Project Managers to visualize the client’s vision for their online and brand presence. With web design being the primary focus of this position, it is expected to execute a client's brand effectively while creating and maintaining a high level of User Experience. The Web Designer will also assist with the creation and maintenance of website templates created for RealPage clients that include a set of print collateral to pair with each template. Digital projects include creating websites within G5’s proprietary CMS, developing unique custom graphics and patterns, videos, and GIFs with applicable. Brand projects range from the overall creation of a brand including its logo, visual language, color palette, and print collateral.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:

Types of projects include:Digital: Designing high end websites within G5’s proprietary CMS, developing unique custom graphics and patterns, and photo curations. Pushing the boundaries of the CMS to create unique designs that set our clients apart.UX/UI and CSS: Designing graphic user interface elements, such as site layout and choosing and configuring widgets. Utilizing and writing basic CSS for additional styling within G5’s proprietary CMS.Print Collateral: Creating a wide range of print collateral to partner with client websites and brands. Ensuring all print files are optimized for large scale printing.Brand: Overall creation of a client’s brand including its logo, visual language, color palette and full brand guidelines.Internal Documentation: Assisting on pitch presentations, demo website, sales collateral, training materials, promotional materials, internal department documentation.Video and Photo Editing: Curating and editing video clips, including the creation of GIFs.Stay on top of design trends, constantly pushing design skills and expertise to create unique designs for clients.Possess proficient understanding of multimedia design and experience building files for both print and digital.Ability to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions—with internal teams and clients—while keeping a keen attention to detail and deadlines.Organize and maintain design assets/collateral for use of internal teams and outside vendors.Minimum Requirements

1+ years of graphic experience working with digital and print media as a graphic designer.Proven track record of delivering outstanding design solutions.Demonstrated hands-on skill and proficiency with Adobe CS Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office.Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.Basic understanding of UX/UI.Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.The ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects with varying priorities.Strong verbal and written communications skills to interact with team members and other departments.A BA or BS degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent) desired.
