This role requires a passion for the client’s business, the work, results and most importantly, the drive to continue providing a valuable partnership. Successful Business Development Managers manage relationships at all levels, represent the agency vision to key stakeholders, and continuously work to identify opportunities for moving the client and agency business forward.Reports into SVP, Client ServicesLocated in Birmingham, MIDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESClient/Relationship Manager & Strategy

Build and sustain relationships with clients and their internal teams for a broader business pictureGet to know and stay informed about clients’ business models, growth plans and preferences; provide value in client meetingsAccountable for project leveling and ensuring that all initiatives support the client’s brand and overall strategy; appropriately communicate this with the Engagement Management teamAdvocate on behalf of the client and act as a trusted partnerUnderstand client needs and translate to the Strategist, Analytics and Implementation teams for timely, on-brief executionAnticipate and resolve internal team and client issues as they are identified and utilize the support of the leadership team as neededVet and share implementation team’s estimates to the client for signoff, and manage against applicable SOW documentsSpearhead brief process with Client, Strategist and Implementation team to ensure requirements are rolling up to the overarching strategy, clients and agency teams are aligned on deliverables and timingAdvocate for polish and good work for all client deliverables and meetingsProactively address concerns or flags for clients to navigate potential issuesEnsure Engagement Managers schedule meetings and share agendas in a timely manner, both with clients and internallyOnboarding of new clients, as applicable with the support of Engagement ManagerAdvocate for ongoing thought leadership for client’s business

Revenue Generation

Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and push this forward with applicable agency teamsGrow revenue within existing accountsEnsure that revenue generated is profitable according to hour estimates provided by the implementation teamEscalate to SVP, Client Services if we are not going to be profitableLead on holding clients accountable, change orders where necessary

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, DEMONSTRATED SKILLS, AND ABILITIES5+ years of experience at a marketing agency or client-side marketing departmentProactive in client relationship management and demonstrated success in this areaStrong verbal and written communication skillsCalm under pressure and flexibleAbility to effectively collaborate with different people and work stylesDemonstrated ability to take initiative with little directionFamiliar with reporting tools, including Google Analytics is a plusApply Now
