Looking for candidates who have a background in media relations/media strategy, are strong writers and can project manage.Overview

The role includes the following capabilities and responsibilities, in addition to PR/comms basic requirements.Responsibilities

Communications/PR/Media RelationsDraft media written materials (news releases, pitch emails, social posts, etc.), that are client- and press-ready without typos, grammar errors, etc.Possess firm understanding of media targets and strategy to pursue high-level opportunities.Work independently and with client leads on media strategic media relations. Arrange interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists for clients’ spokespeople – in person or over the phone – and staff/facilitate these interviews with executives.Develop executive talking points and key messaging to support client media activities.Provide strategic media ideas; begin to develop strategic campaign ideas.Account Service/Client RelationsPrepare client meeting materials (trackers, status reports, etc.) for client lead to send.Assist client leads, Managing Directors and Partners on developing strategic plans for clients.Manage monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting detailing progress against client goals.Provide counsel to clients and executives where appropriate with input from clientHelp manage junior team members on account service and client relations activities, including responsiveness, providing materials, answering account questions, etc.Proactively take on more responsibility with client service to work toward becoming a day-to-day client lead.Work with the team to provide an ongoing stream of strategic ideas to the client.Team/Workflow Management & CollaborationReview work from team members with less experience, providing counsel and feedback, and ensuring all work products are client-ready.Provide strategic editing/proofreading for team writing based on client and media needs.Begin managing projects utilizing team resources and collaboration.
