Marketing Project Manager based in Arizona (Full-Time)

(Position is based Arizona, with the option to work hybrid or remotely. Candidates must be living in the Phoenix or Tucson metro areas as occasional work in the office is required)Job: Full-Time Marketing Project Manager based in ArizonaPay Range: $26.59 – $31.87 (Hourly)Western National Parks Association (WNPA) seeks a creative, organized, and collaborative Marketing Project Manager (MPM) to work within the Marketing & Communications team. The MPM is responsible for overseeing and administering various marketing projects and leading projects from the initial brainstorming and research phase, through implementation or production, on to debriefing and reporting. They will also be responsible for carrying out the Chief Marketing Officer’s vision for the team on a granular level. The MPM oversees vendors and contractors with the primary goal of ensuring the timely execution, smooth workflow, and successful delivery of marketing campaigns that align with the organization’s objectives and brand strategy.Additionally, to be successful, they must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, content, philanthropy, park store operations, and e-commerce, to ensure project milestones are achieved and projects are completed within the allocated budget and timeline.We collaborate.

We welcome new ideas and value new initiatives that challenge conventional thinking.This role is responsible for completing the following tasks and any related tasks as assigned:Assists with content creation including writing scripts, social media posts, and blog posts.Develops comprehensive project plans and outlines project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.Distributes projects to contractors and vendors and oversees estimates, invoices, and contracts. Tracks project and monthly expenses to ensure that invoices match estimates.Performs website updates in accordance with brand and editorial guide.Assists with newsletters, web content, photo research, and taking photographs.Collaborates with marketing staff to help execute various campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and events.Creates comprehensive project reports including results and insights.Independently monitors project performance, conducts analysis, results to identify and make recommendations for areas of improvement for future campaigns.Simplifies complex data into a user-friendly format such as graphs, charts, and other visual aids for internal clients and management.Creates detailed project schedules using project management software, ensuring that all team members are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines. Regularly reviews project progress and identifies potential bottlenecks, recommends solutions to keep projects on track.Performs a variety of administrative duties including processing invoices, creating/editing contracts, scheduling meetings, providing meeting notes, and assisting with the calendar for the Sr. Marketing Manager. Supports the marketing department team as needed.Monitors and adjusts project and marketing plans as needed to accommodate changes in priorities or market conditions.Updating community, visitor, chamber, and WNPA.org website calendars.Visiting partner parks to evaluate WNPA branding efforts in stores, photograph use of direct aid by National Park Service, gather information, quotes, and more for direct aid stories, etc.Fosters positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and managing project expectations in collaboration with Sr. Marketing Manager.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEThis role must possess advanced to expert knowledge of, skill in, and/or ability in the following:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications with a minimum of three years’ experience working in a marketing or advertising agency with specific and intimate knowledge of marketing project steps, practices, tools, and channels.In lieu of education, five or more years of professional marketing, advertising, or communications agency experience including three or more years of professional marketing project management.Proficiency in the use of project management and marketing analytics software, experience with Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress CMS, Asana, or similar project management software, MailChimp, iMovie, or similar software is a plus.Knowledge of traditional, digital, content, and social media marketing.Experience and ability to lead marketing projects in collaboration with Sr. Marketing Manager.Ability to work alone or as a member of a team and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.Ability to research, comprehend, and interpret competitor strategies, consumer behavior, and marketing benchmarks.Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands; attention to detail is paramount.Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.Must be willing to help where needed and excited to learn new skills.Proficient in computer programs including Internet, databases, Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and Google Workspace software.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; gather large amounts of data to complete a simple, user-friendly, and meaningful analysis with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions when necessary (e.g. using Google Analytics and data from a variety of sources).Skilled in project planning, organizing, multitasking, and researching.Diplomatic and effective presentation and interpersonal communication skills—both verbally and in writing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, leveraging data to make informed decisions.Creative mindset, always seeking innovative ways to improve marketing project strategies.TRAVELOccasional travel required for meetings, conferences, events, and visits to partner parks.Remote positions may require frequent travel to the home office based in Tucson.PHYSICAL DEMANDSPhysical demands for this role are administrative in nature.
