The Research Librarian Supervisor will manage the Legal Research team and provide on-the-ground support for the Information Product Management (IPM) team, as required; implement the Firm’s global I&R strategy and Research strategy; work with the Regional I&R Leads, In-Market I&R Managers and Research Librarians, Country Knowledge Partner(s) and local Knowledge team(s); and act as the primary point of contact in the Service Center for I&R requests and inquiries.Responsibilities:Service Orientation:Develop new, and build upon existing strong, relationships with regional Knowledge Partners and Knowledge Lawyers, the Regional I&R Lead, the I&R Specialist functions (Information Product Management and Research), and the rest of the Knowledge Services team in the Service Center(s)Ensure productive relationships based on the business, driving value through effective communication with stakeholders and key relationshipsKnowledge & Expertise:

Manage and lead the legal research team in the Service Center, and provide support to the IPM team in the Service Center, as requiredUnderstand and demonstrate the I&R services offered, promoting the role and functionality of the Firm's legal and/or business research services and information repositories and resourcesEnsure and facilitate timely access to relevant legal information, promoting appropriate resources to allow lawyers to provide high-quality legal advice to clients; proactively promote legal, regulatory, and related information and research to lawyers, BDMC, and other users as appropriateEngage in and foster others' ongoing learning and professional accountability that cultivates communication and collaboration, encouraging immediate and long-term goalsAssist with implementing the global I&R strategy, and the global Legal Research and Business Research strategies, guidelines, and policies (as applicable), and work with the Research Lead to provide full I&R resource training supportAssist with developing and running online training plans and programs for lawyers, BDMC, and In-Market staff as requiredLead and coordinate the referral of In-Market research inquiries to the appropriate end-to-end service and respond to inquiries requiring In- Market expertise for research and informationIn line with the Research function best practice, initiate and make plans with internal local clients to understand their business focus and information needsEnsure industry thinking is applied when providing information and research, demonstrating extensive technical and professional knowledge relevant to the businessSupport planned and ad hoc research projectsPeople Management:

Effective and proactive management of the Service Centre Legal Research team and other Knowledge team members as requiredCollaborative, supportive, team player working with in-market Research Librarians, other Research team members, Knowledge Services staff, and the wider Information & Research and Knowledge CommunitiesWork Management:

Support and participate in the adoption and use of Knowledge and I&R solutionsParticipate in and lead projects as requested; supervise other team members as requiredBe aware of and participate in the Firm's and I&R group's goals. Participate in setting and aligning I&R group goals with PG and IG goals, managing resources, and evaluating use. Report on usage and space managementContribute substantively to the provision of Information & Research servicesSchedule: Rotates every 3 months to 10am - 7pm ESTExperience Required

Skills and Experience:Relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., library, research, data analysis, information management, or similar)Extensive relevant experience, with relevant background in knowledge, information, and research in a professional services environmentExperience in leading and managing a team of research professionals, allocating work, and developing their careersStrong knowledge of secondary research processes and techniquesExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsComprehension of a diverse set of relevant knowledge and information resources particularly for legal researchProficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as familiarity with database managementCommitment to outstanding client serviceWillingness to work outside normal office hours, as neededAbility to manage multiple stakeholders, build strong relationships virtually, communicate effectively, comfortable working in large, complex environments, highly credible and persuasiveStrong people management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage people's time to meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to drive results and a sense of urgency in setting strategies and executing against the objectivesProven ability to influence, interact, and consult with senior leaders, strong collaboration skills, and effective stakeholder management
