This position requires an extremely creative, dynamic graphic designer to drive businessresults to support the marketing goals of the university. They will collaborate withinternal departments, faculty and staff, outside vendors and our students and supportthem through successful creative projects including print advertising, marketing materials,web graphics, video graphics and social media marketing campaigns.The Creative Media Specialist will work under the direction of the VP of UniversityMarketing and Communications and the Director of Design to:Visually highlight the stories of our university by creating engaging graphics inprint collateral, social media, web and video through graphic design and creativeabilities.Collaborate with the marketing team and campus clients to interpret brand needs, evaluatescope and direction and develop innovative, creative and results-oriented solutions.Assist in organizing and gathering information needed with all content and visualsfor projects to ensure timely successful delivery. Maintain accurate records of allprojects.Assist in the creative art directing process of photo and video shoots to be usedin projects.Work with printer vendors on process, cost estimates and execution of each designproject.Present final projects to the Director of Design and Assistant VP for Content andCommunications for quality check prior to production release.Participate with the creative marketing team to share ideas and critiques in a respectfulmanner, with a willingness to share your entire skill set to benefit team members,the department and the institution in all marketing efforts.Any other duties as assigned by the VP of University Marketing and Communicationsand Director of Design.Education / Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University in design, art, marketingor related fieldTwo to four years of related experience/training in a creative environmentMastery of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photshop and familiarity with the Creative Cloudsuite of programs on Mac platformExperience working with outside vendors for printing materialsExperience in designing for social media and digital platformsA keen interest in new creative technologies and trendsExperience in photography and/or videographyPassion for supporting the positive impact of a Trine University education on students’livesAbility to think creatively beyond traditional solutions and solve problemsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in grammar and theability to adhere to formal style guidelinesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to clearly articulate ideas with excellent written and verbal skillsStrong attention to detailStrong conceptual and analytical skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to easily learn and utilize online software applications to manage content,email communications, media relations and other functionsTrine University offers a comprehensive benefit package designed to provide a varietyof choices to best fit your needs and the needs of your family.
