Coordinator of Parish Communications(40 Hours/Week—Full Time Benefits Eligible—Salary Range $40--$50K/Year)Description Overview:The Coordinator of Parish Communications is a high level professional that creates, organizes, and facilitates messaging in many forms. This position also trains others to be effective and efficient communicators for St. Julie Billiart Parish and the Catholic Church. Through the use of multimedia, print, and interpersonal connections with the parish and broader community the Coordinator of Parish Communications widens the social footprint of St. Julie Billiart.Duties/Responsibilities:• Manage and operate Parish Social Media:o Create/Maintain a Parish Owned YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram Account.o Facebook: Minimum 1 posting made per week.o Instagram: Minimum 1 posting made per week.• Manage and operate Parish Website:o Update front page photos once every two weeks.o Add/update any and all parish event advertising to front page once per week.o Post the new livestream video once per week.o Post the Midweek Moment video once per week.o Create and maintain a consistent, and modern website aesthetic.o Organize, lead and meet with a committee of staff members to oversee website content and functionality.• Create, organize, update and utilize ParishCast as main communication tool:o Provide opportunities for individuals to begin following/receiving information.o If people “unsubscribe,” update ParishCast database on weekly basis.o Update the ParishCast database so that all members have the following: First/Last Name, email address, at least one cell phone number.• Manage and operate the Narthex Screens.o Update and make current slides once per week.• Create and operate the Midweek Email Blasto Create and maintain a consistent and modern newsletter aesthetic.o Newsletter must include: General Mass Information, General Sacramental Information, current/upcoming events, Midweek Moment YouTube video, contact links, registration links (if applicable).• Manage and operate the 159th Street Electronic Sign:o Update and make current slides once per week.• Manage, edit and submit Parish Bulletin:o Create a universal bulletin that allows access (to their respective pages) to all parish staff members.o Create and maintain a consistent bulletin aesthetic.• Organize and lead committee of staff members in creation and maintenance of a Digital Worship Companion:o Worship Companion will combine the following: Bulletin, Midweek Moment, Mass Worship Aid, and Opportunities for Giving.o This must be done in collaboration with the Director/Coordinator of the ministry running the event.• Foster and continue relationships with Tinley Park Community and CJB School.o Maintain contact at local newspapers, schools (public and private), and local governments.o Maintain a consistent (monthly) correspondence with CJB, detailing events and opportunities for integration between the Parish and the School.• Organize, grow and facilitate the Livestream Ministry.o Recruit and train new members.o Add more Masses to the livestream schedule (ex. Triduum, Holy Days of Obligation).o Livestream special liturgical and community events (i.e. Holy Hours, guest speakers, etc.)o Livestream through both Parish YouTube Channel and Facebook Account (Simulcast).• Anything else requested or as needed by pastor related to the skills for this position Requirements.• Extremely competent in various technologies and software, including but not limited to;o Microsoft Suite o SEO Strategies and Implementationo Website Design and Editing o Content Creation and Publication through YouTube, Instagram, Facebook.• Effective and Efficient teacher of technology.• Engaging and energetic personality.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Practicing Catholic highly preferred.• Ability to be flexible with hours.Requirements:
