Description:This position manages the organization’s Content Management System (CMS) which includes VisitAugusta.com and affiliated microsites. The Marketing Manager serves as the social media lead with support from the Communications Manager, and is the organization’s local media liaison. Planning and Management • Manage creative services and digital agency relations and projects. • Assist CMO with marketing strategy and business plan development. • Responsible for the research, planning, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that align with the organization’s mission/vision and raise awareness of the Augusta brand. • Actively manage the creation, editing, and approval of all content to include ad copy, collateral materials, website, social media, press releases, corporate communications, and others as needed. • Monitor trends in and make recommendations regarding social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy. • Oversee the management and execution of cooperative marketing initiatives. • Participate on special projects and teams such as National Travel & Tourism Week, Experience Augusta, sales and media missions, meeting/event planner events, destination discovery tours, Marketeers, etc. • Provide project management support for the marketing team. • Manage the organization’s marketing internship program. Content Management: • Manage the creation, curation, and publishing of inspiring high-quality content (written, images, video) to reach/engage target audiences (visitors, meeting planners, stakeholders, locals) across all platforms and channels. • Oversee all social media efforts for the organization. • Design, create, manage, and implement social media contests, promotions, and campaigns. • Manage Destination Augusta’s Content Management System (CMS). • Maintain strong brand standards and voice on the organization’s marketing platforms. Community Management: • Build and maintain relationships – online and offline. • Manage, monitor, listen and respond to users while cultivating conversations, leads, sales, and visits. • Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation. • Develop influencer outreach efforts. • Identify threats, potential negative commentary or crisis situations in user-generated content surrounding the company/brand/destination and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues. • Serve as local media liaison for the organization, responsible for facilitating media requests, scheduling interviews with Destination Augusta staff, and assist in developing media talking points. Data/Analytics/Performance: • Analyze campaigns, interpret analytics, and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommended, actionable plans for social media strategy, campaigns, advertising, and content marketing. • Compile activity and performance reports monthly, quarterly, annually/year to date, year over year, and on demand.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism. A minor or focus in Business Management, Computer Science, or Project Management a strong plus • Strong written communication and editing skills including copywriting, writing for digital and social media/blog writing • Ability to work on new projects with limited guidance • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, depending on the nature of the project • In-depth knowledge in content marketing and social media platforms • Working knowledge of Google Analytics for reporting, annotation, and research purposes; additional online reporting platforms as needed • Understanding of destination marketing with a preferred background in DMO/tourism, agency or corporate environment, but not required • Demonstrated skill in setting and achieving goals for digital marketing • Still photography and video shooting and editing abilities a strong plus • Graphic design experience and working knowledge of Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) a strong plus • Exceptional computer skills; highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook knowledge and proficiency working with website CMS and CRM a plusNeed info on how to become a Business Ministry Partner?
