The CM will work collaboratively across the marketing team and with a broad selection of subject matter experts across the organization to develop anchor and distributed marketing content.The CM is a member of the marketing team which includes approximately eight internal team members and nearly a dozen external resources and contract partners.ResponsibilitiesManaging all content development projects including the expansion and refinement of our company brand bookWork across departments to build anchor content on core topics that impact communications across the firmOwn and manage the editorial calendar for distribution across our owned channelsCollaborate with digital marketers for content usage and refinement for growth marketing campaignsLead team of internal and external writers to meet editorial deadlines creating engagement and brand recognitionFirmly establish the Sequoia voice and POV and ensure it is consistent across all mediaContribute to the writing team as needed as both a writer and editorRequired Skills/ExperienceMinimum 5 years content marketing experienceMinimum 2 years in content leadership impacting all aspects content creation and distributionMinimum 3 years experience marketing expertise-driven services or products (consulting, legal, financial, etc.)Minimum 3 of experience writing for social media, website, and other online platforms with a focus on business growth objectives and SEO best practicesExperience providing structural content solutions for diverse content formats, including but not limited to: text, video, audio, images, algorithms.Experience with end-to-end publishing workflows and associated systems spanning authoring, content management, content delivery, and end-user content consumption.Bachelor's Degree requiredCompetenciesHighly organized and detail-oriented.Motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.Collaborates well on a team.Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; good listening skills; and strong presentation skills.Superior and recognized writing skillsAbility to prioritize and plan work; attention to details; effective time management; setting goals and objectives.Ability to come up with creative ideasStrong leadership and management skillsDetailed knowledge of current online tools and marketing trends, including SEOAbility to solve problems swiftlyExcellent analytical skills
