Director of MarketingArizona Charlie’s Decatur (Las Vegas, NV)Description:SummaryResponsible for the overall operational and strategic direction, administration and coordination of all activities within the Marketing division of two properties. Implements and executes marketing strategies for casino and non-casino related marketing. Ensures the operational effectiveness of various marketing programs involving brand strategy, positioning, customer relationship management, events and sponsorships.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesHire, train, develop, measure performance, and discipline of division’s leadership staffDevelop, implement, execute, and achieve long and short-term divisional business strategiesFormulate and operate within annual marketing plan, operating budget, and capital budget to accomplish goals and objectivesConduct ongoing analysis of financial reports to monitor the profitability and expenses of the division and take appropriate action by creating and implementing strategies and tactics to reduce cost and/or increase revenueDevelop and implement staffing plans that provide divisional leadership appropriate labor to meet guest service and operational expectationsEnsure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the positionImplement the corporate marketing strategyManage casino host incentive programMonitors competitive products, marketing activities and Players Club point structures.Prepares and delivers monthly budget reviewProvides direction for player invitational events including tournaments, special shows and other balanced event programming to optimize rated player participation.Collaborates with Corporate marketing regarding events and promotions, and direct marketing arenasCoordinates cross-marketing initiatives with other sister companies and strategic partners.Works with Corporate Analytics team to evaluate trends and promotional results; use data to adjust future planning and eventsParticipates in planning of advertising and promotion activities including print, online, and direct mail.Ensures a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events on property.Makes decisions and recommendations as to property-supported images and marketing strategies and campaignsWorks collaboratively with property division heads to ensure the adherence of property branding guidelines and standardsProvide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standardsPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsQualificationsAt least 5 years previous experience in upper-level marketing capacity performing same or similar job duties.Previous experience performing same or similar duties within a locals gaming company preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have the ability to effectively interact with small and large groups of people in a business or community environmentMust have the ability to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and provide feedback or follow upMust have excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEfficient using computers, including but not limited to Word and Excel21 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or equivalentBachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field preferredProven experience providing a high level of guest serviceAbility to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbalObtain and maintain all work cards as required by the companyVerify the right to work in the United StatesWork CardsGamingAlcohol AwarenessPhysical RequirementsOccasionally push/pull up to 15 lbs.Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levelsOccasionally squat, kneel, and communicate via radioFrequently bend, reach, twist, sit, and standConstant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterityWork Environment Potential ConditionsIndoorSmoky and noisyDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
