About the Role:About the IT Learning and Readiness Team:The IT Learning and Readiness team supports the learning and development, organizational change management, communications, and employee experience programs for the IT organization. We're on a mission to drive the right experience for the right person at the right time. Our small but mighty team works alongside the broader office of the CIO team to support the talent and people components to move our IT objectives forward.About the Tech Learning Experience Designer Role:The Tech Learning Experience Designer will work closely with the IT Learning Team to create learning experiences across many technical disciplines. In this role, you need to be knowledgeable in your field of expertise and possess solid technical aptitude, having fluency in at least one programming language (Java, JS, or Python) and proficient understanding of cloud computing concept as well as Azure. This position also requires an excellent communicator who can explain complex subjects clearly and in an engaging, compelling manner. As a Learning Experience Designer, you will translate complex technical topics into easy-to-digest and comprehend learning experiences that include but are not limited to, self-paced microlearning courses, learning dojos, role-based learning plans, and topic-specific learning programs. In addition, through collaboration with subject matter experts, the Tech Learning Experience Designer will effectively deliver technical training courses aligned to GMF's tech stack (concepts aligned to Cloud, SDLC, DevSecOps, ML/AI, etc). Both the audience and topics of learning opportunities you develop will be broad. You will also gather data on these learning experiences to best understand impact and iterate for best solutions. To execute strategic learning initiatives, you must be familiar with Agile methodology, and be able to analyze, create, and iterate with minimal supervision.In This Role You Will:Understand how people learn and have well-tested ideas on how to help them learn more effectivelyHave deep experience designing and developing learning assets that achieve higher-level learning objectives (application, analysis, evaluation)Have experience developing immersive classroom learning experiences, with a particular focus on case-based and learning dojo modelsCommunicate with a variety of audiences with a dynamic and conversational style in both written and verbal channelsHave an eye for detail and a keen ability to organize, move, select, synthesize, summarize, and edit information to make it effectiveHave prior experience developing learning experiences aligned to modern tech stacks

Qualifications

What Makes You a Dream CandidateFluent in at least one of our core languages (Java, JavaScript, Python)Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple modalities including but not limited to Office Suite (Word, Teams, SharePoint)Strong ability to curate learning opportunities for technical learnersAnalytic and strategic thinking with the ability to evaluate and innovateExperience5-7 years of work experience in Training, Instructional Design, and Technology or related work experience required3-5 years of leading through influence required3-5 years experience delivering work through an agile framework required5-7 years experience with instructional design including developing and delivering skill-based learning programs requiredWhat We Offer:
